The mission for Specialist Jirtle originally scheduled for 16 June had been put on hold. The Ride Captain met with the family and funeral director yesterday and the service is back on. This hero will be arriving in Lawton today, 14 June and visitation Tomorrow. The Family has requested the PGR for a Flag line at the service "only" on the 16th, Wednesday, so be it....
With 365 days in the year and 24 hours in the day it is amazing we have a ride for a fallen PGR brother at the same time only 70 miles away; however it is what it is. David Engelhardt SRC, SE OK, will lead the PGR at the PGR ride for a fallen PGR brother. David Richards, R/C, SW OK, is the Ride Captain for the fallen hero, Spc Lirtle.
I will be revising my schedule for the PGR Brothers ride and I will be attending the KIA ride in Lawton. I have checked the web site for the Westborow Baptist Church website, and they do not have this service listed, which does not mean they will not show up.
Revised schedule for riders from the east of Lawton will be posted soon. Had the service's been scheduled two hours apart riders could have made both. Semper Gumby - Pappy
