The family of CPT John S. Pixley, S3, USA, has requested the PGR stand for their loved one on Friday, 9 July 2010 in Tulsa, OK.
 
 An avid motorcyclist and supporter of the PGR and our Mission, CPT Pixley lost his second battle with cancer on July 2nd.
 
 John Pixley joined the Army in 1995 and earned his commission in 1999. He served a tour in Bosnia, was the assistant S3 for the 486th Civil Affairs Battalion, and served as Aide de camp for Major General Jeffery A. Jacobs, Commander Operational Command Post 2, United States Army North (5th Army), Fort Sam Houston. His current assignment was as the S3 Operations Officer for the 451st Civil Affairs Battalion, Pasadena, TX.
 
 CPT Pixley's awards and achievements include: Meritorious Service Medal (2x), Army Commendation Medal (2x), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4x), Army Reserve component Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal (2x), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and NATO Ribbon.
 
Funeral will be held @ 1100 at Faith United Methodist Church, 7431 E. 91st St, Tulsa, OK, followed by interment with full Military Honors at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK.
 
Staging: 0900 at Faith United Methodist Church
 
Briefing: 0930
 
Flagline: 0945 (Family is scheduled to arrive at 1015)
 
The Mission will consist of a flagline at the Church, respect line following services, escort and flagline at the cemetery.
 
Weather: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84.
