The family of SFC Ellis W. Brown Jr. USA has requested our presence at the services for their loved one, Tuesday, 10 Aug. 2010 @ 1600 (4:00pm) at the Triumph Worship Center, 2125 W 181st St. South (NW corner of 181st & Hwy 75) Mounds, OK

SFC Brown died Saturday afternoon of injuries received in a motorcycle wreck Friday evening. He was a veteran of Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. His unit was in preparation to return to the Mideast.

Mission Protocol: We will ride to the Church prior to the family’s arrival and setup a flagline. Riders will stand the flagline until the services have begun, at which point we will fall out and seek shade and stay hydrated. Upon completion of the services, SFC Brown will be brought outside the church for military rites. We will form up in a respect line in advance of his exit and execute a respectful salute. At the end of the ceremony, Riders will escort his cremains to the family home.

Weather: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 102. Heat index values as high as 111. It will be extremely important to hydrate before arriving at the Mission and to stay hydrated throughout the day. Do not be concerned if you must leave the flagline to get some shade or get a drink. Do so quietly and respectfully.

Staging: 1420 (2:20pm), Quiktrip [Hwy 75 & 141st St.] Glenpool, OK

Briefing: 1445 (2:45pm)

KSU: 1500 (3:00pm)

Flagline: 1515 (3:15pm)

Please note that I am trying to arrange for 15-20 mounted flags, but you should bring your own if you have them. Gold Star Mothers and Blue Star Mothers will be providing water for this Mission.
