You can download the State's license plate application from the Oklahoma page of SupportOurTroops.Org.
If 100 people do this, the Tax Commission will immediately start manufacturing the plate and stocking it in all tag offices for normal statewide sales in their offices from then on.
It's up to us. Can we act for the troops like they act for us?

OKLAHOMA SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! LICENSE PLATE
Funds will help families of Oklahoma active-duty troops
Oklahoma City, OK- The Support Our Troops! license plate is now available in Oklahoma. The extra cost of the Support Our Troops! specialty plate is $37 which will benefit Oklahoma active-duty troops and their families.

The plate application form is available at all tag offices. 100 initial applciation oare needed by the Motor Vehicle Division.

Martin Boire, Chairman of Support Our TroopsŪ put it this way: "If a neighbor leaves to go off to protect your family, morally what do you think you should do for his family, for her family? Buying this plate lets us civilians meet our obligation to those who are looking out for us."
Legislation to create the Support Our Troops license plate was passed by the Legislature and signed in by the Governor. It authorized the Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Division to begin the sales process this month.
The first step is for the MVD to collect an initial group of 100 pad license plate applications. Then they will manufacture the plates and make them available statewide in the normal manner.
This is their test to see if the plates will sell before the Motor Vehicle Division manufactures a lot of the plates. Will they sell? Will we stick up for those who stick up for us? That is what the first 100 are all about.
The Tax Commission will mail these first 100 plates directly to purchasers.
This is our chance to do something for the folks who are doing something for us.
Martin Boire continued: "Look, it's simple. They've gone half way around the world to Afghanistan, South Korea, Iraq, and elsewhere for us. Let's make a short special trip to the local tag office for them."
The Support Our Troops! plate does two things: It shows support for deployed neighbors, and it raises patriotic private money to assist the families of Oklahoma troops with education, car repairs, medical and home expenses, family emergencies and immediate finances -- needs that dad or mom could meet if they were home.
The Support Our Troops! license plates is currently available in 23 U.S. states with nine more expected to issue them this year. Support Our TroopsŪ will have the plate available in an additional 11 states in 2008.
