The following is an exchange about some details on a July 28th accident in Edmond.  I'm forwarding it for two important reasons:
1 --- Just a reminder that City laws CANNOT over-ride State Laws.  We ARE a freedom-of-choice state.

2---The "history" included is an EXCELLENT example of why we should all be a member of ABATE---and not just for helmets!  It could have been any number of legalistic mumbo-jumbos that a municipality might try and pull. ABATE is here to keep us informed and free!!!

Ride Safe!!!

P.S.
It's not too late to join some of us on the "Sturgis Tune-Up" to Altus! Call Garry (580-725-3227) or myself (cell# 405-740-7075).  It looks like there's *probably* going to be an "early group" and a "late group" if you can't get off work early on Friday.  Then we will ALL (everyone who wants to) ride back home as a group on Saturday.  Come Ride and Have a GREAT Time!!!
